A policy loan will be drawn to the designated proposer by remittance to the personal account of the designated proposer at a local or foreign bank. We will bear the expenses incurred from the remittance while the client shall bear the expenses incurred from the service of the receiving bank.

Insurance claims may be processed by postal mail. It is not necessary for you to come in person.
What kind of certificates will I receive when the insurance has been approved by Taiwan Life?
Taiwan Life will send the insurance policy to you according to your instruction, for example, hand delivered by the insurance agent or send via international postal mail to the address of the applicant.

Taiwan Life now offers two payment methods. You can either pay through remittance, or “autopay by financial institutions”.

Are expatriate workers/labors allowed to purchase OIU products?
Expatriate workers are required to acquire an Alien Resident Certificate before they start working in Taiwan. They are therefore not qualified as “a natural person outside of the territory of the R.O.C.” required by the OIU.

For R.O.C. citizens holding dual nationalities, are they entitled to purchase OIU products?
(1) An individual shall be entitled to purchase the OIU products as long as he/she meets the qualification requirements for a "natural person outside the territory of the R.O.C.".
(2) A natural person outside the territory of the R.O.C. means a natural person holding a passport issued by a foreign country and having no domicile in the R.O.C.
(A person “having no domicile in the R.O.C.” means a person who does not have a household registration in the Taiwan area and has not yet obtained the Alien Resident Certificate from the R.O.C. government)
